Fool's Philosophy - March 2008

Let's kill the costume party

March 11th 2008 17:53
Is it possible that the human body is the outer shell and that it was a thoughtless robot for our consciousness to control? If that was true, then there would be no race or sex, there would only be levels of consciousness, and further more, if our inner being was an intellectual being then where did these "parasites" that control the humans species come from. And what if right now, what I’m typing, is being written by the inner being that is controlling Nathaniel Bartling. If that’s the case, and I’m the intelligent factor in this relationship, then it would make sense that you should be able to transfer your consciousness to another animal, or even let it float freely.

I’ve been practicing astral projection for about a year now (if you don’t know about astral projection check it out. It could change your life) so I’ve learned that it is possible to take your consciousness out of your body. For those of you who have never heard of astral projection this probably sounds really strange, but check it out. So then why are humans the only ones that are allowed to have this consciousness. It doesn’t seem like they are any more deserving then any other animal. It now seems that they are taking advantage of the human body more and more these days, so maybe at some point there will be a mass group move another less capable host, or maybe that’s what happens when your human body dies.
Don’t get me wrong, I understand these are a lot of “what ifs”, but anything is just as possible as anything else, at least until they prove one way or another. Until that point though, take some time and feel as if your body is just your costume and not actually connected to who or what you are. I’ve personally found this can take away pain when something hurts, make you feel perfect when you are sick, stay alert when you are tired and so on. If you don’t let your mind think it’s a part of your body, then your body is left alone to deal with its own problems. The mind cant feel things like pain, that’s the body, so if you ignore the body and focus on the mind, the body has no back up way to contact your consciousness. Work on it and you can get rid of any sickness your body can throw at you.

Think about it.

Religion on the Edge

March 11th 2008 17:02
Religion is a subject that takes a lot of consideration and contemplation to even try to tackle. There are no right answers and no wrongs, only feelings and stuff that seems to make more sense when you think about it then the stuff we have been told as we grow. As far as my personal views, I was raised Christian in a Baptist home where church ever week wasn't an option, and neither were philosophical questions. I was told God cared about me and my actions affected God and his mood towards you. The following way I feel is purely feeling and in no way is said to be pushed on anyone, but I can say from someone who I feel contemplates a lot more then most that the things that follow should be considered.

I don’t believe that God is there in the way that we think about him; I don’t think that God is a man with a white beard overlooking our doings from the clouds. I believe God is a wonderful concept and the acceptance of religion will not lead you to a bad life by any means. I think if there is a God, (which will always be in question) he is letting us run around in our own chaos like animals. What makes us think that we are better then the animals that we consume during every meal? We build skyscrapers and construct pyramids, but does that do anything? The animals that we see every day have accepted what they are and aren’t fighting wars over who is right considering what happens when we kick it at the end of our lives. The wars fought across the world are mostly religion centered and the funny thing with that is that the people that are fighting the religious wars have skewed their religious texts to believe that the God that they are following wants them to extinguish the others of our cruel planet to makes things right in his eyes. When you break down the different religions and sacred texts you find that there is no place where God wants planes flown into buildings or troops killing everyone with a way to defend themselves in his name. Religion is mostly peace oriented, and if you were raised a Christian like I was you know that God doesn’t tell us to go out and kill others that are different, or don’t agree with us. He wants us to follow him and do what the religious texts say is pleasing to him. If God claims that we are all his children and he loves all of us then why does the inevitable end with half of us in the glories of heaven, and half of us in a lake of fire for all eternity? If you had four children and two of them were good and two of them turned into hateful meth addicts would you push the two meth addicts in front of traffic and hope they spend forever in a burning lake of fire? I don’t think so. Life couldn’t exist without religion. Period. That would mean that at the beginning of the day we would wake and go do whatever the hell pleased us as far as killing enemies and stealing whatever we wanted, that is even assuming that life would get to the point where there were organized things to steal. People don’t what to believe what I believe, that we are alone in this journey. People depend on the fact that when things get hard and overwhelming that they can turn to a god who has a plan for them and their lives with their best interest at mind. If that were so then good things would happen to everyone and bad things would only happen to people that need to get straightened out. That is not how things are. Good things happen to bad people and bad things happen to everyone, and when bad things happen and religion is looking for an answer we are presented with the thought that "God is testing us" or "God is trying to get us back on track", and the thought of prayer has its own pathetic cop-outs, such as " well God has a plan for us all so if you don’t get what you pray for God has a bigger plan". He doesn't. And the concept of faith never ceases to make me chuckle. Any question you ask that has no answer, anything you want proof of that doesn’t exist, any reasoning that you can’t find is always thrown back to "faith". Oh, you have never seen a sign of divine intervention? Well, you need faith! That in its self is a mockery of what the design of man is. People think that if something good happens to you it is a blessing, but if something bad happens to you, you are being tested, or God is trying to get you back on track. Pssh for every question we have there is an excuse that has no answer. Faith is shit. I had it, most people do, but what are you hoping for? That god will see you out of the seven BILLION people on the planet and deem you worthy of this so-called heaven? Well the concept of Satan and heaven is a farce from the beginning. If God designed everything and knew what was going to happen before it happened, you think he would let a fallen angel (Lucifer, (Satan for you morons)), have control of half of everything and be able to ruin Gods design of humanity from the start with Adam and Eve? Doesn’t sound very reasonable. An angel challenges God and God gives him full run of a place called Hell and half the souls that have ever existed if not more? The things we believe we believe because of our parents and because of wars telling us what region needs to believe what. If we were born in India we would most defiantly not believe in the Bible or Christianity. We would believe in Buddha and Enlightenment, not that people need to go out and reach all the non-believers, but when someone walks through the door of the church that doesn’t look like you "God's people" should judge them and give them the cold shoulder because of cockiness and ego. God would not have wanted his church to turn into a boring place that people dread to attend every week because they fear falling asleep in front of the judgmental group that controls the church. The Catholic Church wouldn’t have been able to control the world and the bible for a thousand years without anyone to check if they were tampering with the so-called " sacred text". The things I believe are scary and might offend you but, think about them, and let me deal with the consequences of them. If I am wrong, and the Bible and God are just as we are told to believe then I suppose I will burn in "Hell" with the rest of the "scum".

Generation wh(Y)?
Being a part of generation y,(anywhere from late 70's to early 90's) seems to be a real trying time for most people. As much as technology and medicine have become better then they have ever been, happiness is at an all time low. How can this be? parents want to ask, but everyone in our generation has a general feeling that something isn't right, that they belong in a different time, that this just doesn't feel like what life is supposed to be about.

This is actually very true. We are the first generation to not have a generation. We are the first generation to be raised by robots instead of parents. We are the first generation to have full access to every bit of knowledge the world has ever known. We are the future. Not in the sense that they say every child is the future, but in the sense that we are the ambassadors to the new world. We are the generation to welcome all future generations to the age of technology. This is not a good thing. People have too much access to too much material at much too young an age. What does this lead to?

This leads to instant gratification disease. That means that no matter what we do, we want to see the results instantly. This comes from having things like high speed internet, or internet on our phones, or wireless anywhere we go. The internet has made it so we have access to anything and everything at the click of a button. Well why is that so bad? It's bad because life is set up for people that aren't from our information generation. It's bad because we can get anything we want in the blink of an eye yet still are required to go to school for 16 years before we can see any reward. This doesn't make sense for our generation. While I'm sitting in Statistics class hour after hour filling my brain with useless information, I find myself dragging my feet. This is because life is much more fast paced then they are allowing us to go. Worksheets and multiple choice tests were all cute and fine when we were younger, but now things need to be upgraded. The idea of learning and knowledge has changed. We learn multiple times in one class session what has taken millions of men thousands of years to come up with. What does that mean for us?

Everything is taken for granted. Why would we want to put ourselves through fifteen years of school when we have access to the world's infinite information anytime anywhere. It's almost like there is a new way of learning, and it's not learning. We are allowed to act as if the hard drive in our computers is the hard drive in our heads, and really who can tell the difference. If someone comes up and tells you anything at all, chances are they read it on the internet. This means that it doesn't matter what we know because our good friend the internet keeps everything we could ever want to know much more organized then our brain will ever do. The point of all this is to help older generations like parents and teachers realize that, of course every kid has ADHD, of course every kid has a short attention span, of course every kid realizes that the path their parents took is completely different from the path they have to take. The world has done a 180 and nothing at all is the same as it was for them. Everything in our lives is very condensed. This means we could go to you tube and watch ten videos in ten minutes, each with a different story and plenty of jokes, so how are we supposed to sit in class and listen to someone talk to us about something we don't care about for hours at a time. It's impossible, yet it is still required that not only do we attend for the first quarter of our lives, but we have to try and remember all the things they are saying. This is not even fair for anyone. How are we supposed to remember what is going on in our lives, what other people are doing, what every word said in class is, what every word in a school book is? Those aren't the problem. Those are exactly what our parents had to remember and that's it. Added on to that we also have: who called or texted us today, what we read on the internet, what was on our tivo, what we bought on the internet, what was said talking on instant messager, what we saw in the online part of our classes, who is doing what on each reality show, and who is watching and hearing everything we do. This may seem like an exaggeration, but in fact it is much the opposite. All they had to deal with was whoever they ran into that day back in 1975, we can talk to or get in multiple forms of contact with anyone we have ever met in a matter of seconds. This can lead to many more problems.

The media isn't helping things either. They are molding the simple minded people into worthless drones. Everyone wants to be the next Paris Hilton, or some stupid fucking social lite like that. People are so terrified of actually interacting with real people, everyone walks with their head down and people never think about talking to someone new unless the situation forces it. When I walk around and all I see is North Face fleeces, Ugg boots, and Coach purses, I understand why I feel such negative feelings towards people. Everyone is a fucking photocopy of what they are supposed to be and it is sick. The whole concept of marriage is thrown out the window because for marriage to be even possible, people need to be real with themselves first, yet I walk around everyday hearing conversations I heard on the Hills the day before. The point is our generation is so damn confused about what they should be doing with life, they are grabbing on to anything and everything shoved in their faces that might show them a reason to be here. For girls it's guys, for guys it's sex and money. These combinations really don't add up to equal successful marriage.

Marriage, school, and the American Dream, should be thrown out the window. Those no longer exist. America isn't America, it's an old used up whore who has sold her ideals and foundation for money and power. Now our generation is supposed to pick up the pieces and help fix what these old fuckers have done, making this place a racial hate ground of laziness and crime, where all men hate all men. Sorry, our generation is cashing out of this one. The ability of our generation to see the mistakes of the past, doesn't mean it's our shit to shovel. Hey we didn't start the fire, and generation y sure as fuck isn't going to put it out. They have made the world and life unrepairable for our generation through greed, arrogance, ignorance, and stupid ideals, and we are the ones getting yelled at for being raised by the methods they have laid down.

Well, I'm saying fuck that, and fuck them. I don't need a fucking government to protect me from terrorists. I did nothing to piss anyone off. So take your bullshit baggage elsewhere and deal with it because our generation has to deal with the huge identity problem that you have given us by making the wrong choices in your time. It's hard for us to work our asses off for 20 years to know in another 20 our jobs will be taken not only by illegal immigrants, but also robots. We are left sitting here wondering Y? Y are we supposed to work for this shit when, it means nothing to us and will be lost faster then we could produce it. Y are we here? Y did they tell me everything was going to be ok? Generation Y should be asking Y the fuck do we listen. They don't have the answers out there. They don't understand the huge generation gap made from computers. So we must lead ourselves into the future. We must trek the path to make this life worth living. Make it worth more then school shootings, suicides, reality t.v., and terrorist wars. We must get the fuck away from these stupid non-evolved morons that continue to make terrible decisions for us. Our time is now, either we step up and start something new, or we fall into the tar pits that they have created everywhere.

It's time for a revolution.

Beginings

March 11th 2008 16:43
Everyone knows the constant pressure and stress that come along with life: Work, School, Family, Relationships, Religion, Rules, Fitting in. The list goes on and on and this journal is a compilation of pure thoughts, feelings, and intuitions about life, take it as you will but life is seen this way through my eyes. Each post will have a specific topic and feel free to post thoughts and criticisms about anything. I want to learn everyone's perspectives and everyone's thoughts to try to answer these questions and thoughts about life.
